Manchester buildings, and what they mean for delivery day

Spinningfields, St Peter's Square, NOMA and the newer Deansgate towers are the easiest deliveries in the city. Service yards, generous goods lifts and building management used to scheduling contractor access. Reserve the slot, send the insurance documentation and the induction paperwork, and the install runs to time.

The Northern Quarter and Ancoats are the ones to plan properly. A lot of that stock is converted mill and warehouse: high ceilings, exposed brick, excellent offices, and very often a single small goods lift shared with every other tenant, or a loading door that opens straight onto a working street. We check the lift's internal dimensions and weight limit against the packed components, and where it will not take them we look at the stair route before the date is set rather than on the morning.

MediaCityUK and Salford Quays sit between the two, with newer buildings and managed access. Trafford Park, Cheadle, Stockport and the M60 corridor parks are low-rise with level access and parking at the door, which is about as simple as this gets.

On vehicle access: there is no charging clean air zone in force in Greater Manchester, so getting into the centre is a question of the building's own rules and the city centre loading restrictions rather than a daily charge. What does need settling early is the receiving window, since several of the larger city-centre buildings only accept deliveries outside office hours.

Installation in Manchester

Our installers are insured, and we will provide whatever documentation your building management asks for before anyone arrives at the loading bay, including the induction and permit paperwork managed buildings require. Where a building only allows deliveries outside business hours, we schedule around it: evenings and weekends are normal for us rather than an exception you have to negotiate.

A pod is assembled in a morning. Two people can do it with the tools supplied if you would rather handle it in house, and installation is priced as a separate line so you can see exactly what it costs either way. If your site sits outside the main centres, we use vetted local contractors and the service and the standard stay the same.

Estimated delivery: 3–8 weeks. Final timing confirmed in your quote. Your written quotation confirms the production, shipping and installation window for your address. Every model, priced

No quote needed to see what a pod costs. Furniture and installation are separate lines so you can see what each part adds.

Prices are for the pod in the configuration you choose. Finishes, furniture and compatible extras are listed separately as you build. Delivery and handling, selected installation and any applicable tax are confirmed on your written quotation, so the total you approve is the total you pay.

What is included as standard

Every FocusPod arrives with laminated glass front and rear, layered acoustic insulation, adjustable ventilation, dimmable LED lighting with adjustable colour temperature, power and an occupancy light. Speech level reduction is laboratory tested at 30 dB under ISO 23351-1, the international standard written specifically for pods. Every pod is covered by our five-year structural and electrical warranty.

There is no separate charge for the black or white exterior or for the standard interior palette. Other exterior colours use the displayed upgrade price, and a custom interior colour is priced per pod. All of it is listed separately as you build, so nothing arrives as a surprise on the quotation.
