London buildings, and what they mean for delivery day

London is the most procedure-heavy city we deliver into, and getting that right in advance is most of the work. City and Canary Wharf towers generally have a service yard and a bookable goods lift, but they also have a managed process: a permit to work, a site induction for the installers, insurance documentation, and often a delivery window outside office hours. We complete all of it with your building manager rather than handing you a form to chase.

The West End and Midtown are a different job. Georgian and Victorian conversions across Mayfair, Fitzrovia, Soho and Clerkenwell give you beautiful offices and, frequently, no goods lift at all: a narrow staircase, a tight half-landing turn, and sometimes a listed-building constraint on what can be moved through it. We measure the route, not just the room, and where the stairs are the only way up we price that honestly or recommend a model that will make the turn.

Out towards Stratford, Croydon, Hammersmith and the Thames Valley, most offices are newer and lower-rise with level access and proper loading, which is the simplest version of this.

Then there is the vehicle question, which is specific to London and worth settling at the quotation rather than after. The Ultra Low Emission Zone now covers all London boroughs, the Congestion Charge applies in the centre on charging days, and a great many central addresses sit on red routes where stopping to unload is restricted by time of day. All three decide which vehicle we send and when, and we plan around them before a date is agreed.

What we need to quote your London project properly

Five things, and they take a minute to send. The full address including the floor and unit. Whether there is a loading bay or service yard, or the vehicle unloads from the street. The goods lift's internal dimensions and weight limit, if the pod is not going on the ground floor. Your building's receiving hours, and whether an induction, permit to work or insurance documentation is required before contractors can attend. And a name and number for whoever will meet us on the day.

Send those with your enquiry and the quotation comes back with the real installation scope rather than an allowance that changes later. If you are not sure about the lift or the building's process, say so and we will work it out with your building management.

Installation in London

Our installers are insured, and we will provide whatever documentation your building management asks for before anyone arrives at the loading bay, including the induction and permit paperwork managed buildings require. Where a building only allows deliveries outside business hours, we schedule around it: evenings and weekends are normal for us rather than an exception you have to negotiate.

A pod is assembled in a morning. Two people can do it with the tools supplied if you would rather handle it in house, and installation is priced as a separate line so you can see exactly what it costs either way. If your site sits outside the main centres, we use vetted local contractors and the service and the standard stay the same.

Lead time

Estimated delivery: 3–8 weeks. Final timing confirmed in your quote. Your written quotation confirms the production, shipping and installation window for your address. If you have a date to hit in London, tell us at the enquiry stage and we will be straight with you about whether it works rather than letting you find out late.

Every model, priced

No quote needed to see what a pod costs. Furniture and installation are separate lines so you can see what each part adds.

Prices are for the pod in the configuration you choose. Finishes, furniture and compatible extras are listed separately as you build. Delivery and handling, selected installation and any applicable tax are confirmed on your written quotation, so the total you approve is the total you pay.

What is included as standard

Every FocusPod arrives with laminated glass front and rear, layered acoustic insulation, adjustable ventilation, dimmable LED lighting with adjustable colour temperature, power and an occupancy light. Speech level reduction is laboratory tested at 30 dB under ISO 23351-1, the international standard written specifically for pods. Every pod is covered by our five-year structural and electrical warranty.

There is no separate charge for the black or white exterior or for the standard interior palette. Other exterior colours use the displayed upgrade price, and a custom interior colour is priced per pod. All of it is listed separately as you build, so nothing arrives as a surprise on the quotation.
